Summit Of Gatlinburg

I don't know how they have a 4.8 rating on AirBnB. This place was filthy, the towels were full of hair, the refrigerator made an awful noise continuously, and the sheets were dirty on the pullout bed. The whole place is in serious need of updating. The only positive was that the views were amazing.

My husband and I travelled to Gatlinburg to enjoy Smoky Mountains National Park and to explore the area. The view from our unit at the Summit of Gatlinburg was beautiful and peaceful. I have to say that was the best think about the Summit. On other positive notes, I used the laundry on the property once and it was well maintained and the woman at the Summit office was nice and friendly. I booked this property through Travel Advantage Network. I understand that being at the summit that we would of course have to drive there. There was never a mention of the white-knuckle drive up the mountain on a narrow two lane road with winding sharp turns, mostly with no guardrails. If you've ever experienced the Road to Hana, while the ride to the Summit is a shorter drive, it can be just as treacherous. We had to plan our days to be out for the day and arrive back before sunset because driving the roads at night were even worse and more frightening. You want to avoid travelling up and down the mountain more than once a day. Our building had undergone some renovations, it appeared, prior to our arrival. The grounds were not cleared of debris from the renovations and were not well kept or updated. Our unit, 1107, was dated and not well maintained. There was poor installation of cheap LVP flooring (which was dirty and there was not even a broom for us to sweep) and a quick, poor paint job throughout. The showerhead in the stall shower didn't flow properly and we couldn't use it. Both beds had very bad mattresses and were uncomfortable. The windows were locked so you are not able to open them to enjoy any fresh air. The kitchen was dirty and the icemaker in the refrigerator did not work. The small balcony was in need of repairs. The air conditioner filter was filthy. I would not recommend this property. There are many other properties on the mountain that appeared to be more well maintained and appealing. I would also not recommend Travel Advantage Network. The properties and locations they offer are average at best and their customer service is poor. I gave this same review to them and asked to be contacted about it and they have yet to contact me, after almost four weeks since our trip.

I rented a condo from Hosteeva that is located on the property of Summit View Condo resort. The room is 1201 just keep that room number in mind. I brought myself and two kids for a week of hiking in the Smoky Mountains. Room 1201! First impression it absolutely doesn’t resemble the pictures that were posted. Nothing in the room is the same in the picture besides a couch with stains all over the cushions, a small table, and very small tv with stand. Everything else in the pictures is doctored to make it look more appealing. Second thing was the filth in the room. When I say filthy that is being kind as it was absolutely horrendous! Imagine a 1980’s roadside motel that ran its operation 20 years too long! Thats what the room decorations, smells, and cleanness resembles! Tried to swap rooms and offered to pay room price difference was told to get bent. Also reassured that the room is non refundable. Third thing was they give you four towels and two rolls of toilet paper to be shared among three people for 5.5 days. You have to pay to wash your towels at the onsite coined laundry. Then you will need to purchase your own toilet paper. It’s wild! Don’t get me started on the onsite amenities! What a joke. The outside pool 95 percent of the chairs are broken. In addition we are kinda scared to swim in the pool since if they clean the rooms this awful. Imagine the pool care! Let’s not forget if you wanted to use a fan that’s located in the closet. Nope, it’s double padlocked to the shelf. So enjoy the musty warm room! Only plus and this is a deep reach we saw few bears on property!
