Golfview Vacation Rentals

The best thing hing about this unit was location and having 3.5 bathrooms. The condo is in poor condition. The beds are terrible. One was very noisy, hard and uncomfortable. The master bed didn't have a bed frame, just stacked on the floor. The bathrooms had mildew and peeling wallpaper. The top stair had a small board nailed to it and we had to be careful not to step on it. Very poorly stocked with cooking utensils. The floors were dirty and the area rug was filthy. We've stayed at the resort a few times before and loved it. This unit was such a disappointment.

Great experience as always. We love 1502 Happy Time Bear. Unit clean and everything worked. Thought living room tv needed fixing and called maintenance. Came right away and solution simple. Will come again in November. We have stayed in this unit numerous times with always happy memories. Can’t wait to come back.

I have attempted to contact the rental company to no avail - will never use VACASA rentals for anything again. The list of things wrong at the "Log Heaven" cabin #741 are plentiful. Upon arrival, they had not updated our code, so after a nice long car ride, it took 30 minutes to gain access to the cabin. The hot tub smells like a swamp and was unusable (never gets hot and the water turned some weird color by day two), the upstairs shower handle did not work so not hot water available and the door slid off the track - thank goodness none of us were hurt, the upstairs bathroom also leaks into the kitchen, the sofa bed upstairs was covered in some awful stains, the sofa and chairs in the main room were so worn out you could not even sit on them to visit and talk. The screens on the screened-in porch were torn and open. The dartboard was a board with one working dart, the refrigerator was missing parts so we could not utilize it fully, the sofa bed downstairs did not pull out, the cabin was filthy with dust, and the blinds were all ripped apart on the front door, the beds were very old, one of the lamps looks like a grizzly bear attacked it, the dishwasher did not clean the dishes we tried to wash, and there is no outdoor trash receptacle so we had to keep bagged trash in the cabin with us until we left - you cannot simply put it outside in the Smokies due to bears. We were told there was a heated indoor pool and never found such on the property. The noise from the busy street behind the cabins kept me up half the night and you can hear EVERYTHING in the cabin next to you because they have made this into a duplex cabin - there is no soundproofing between the walls. Because of the condition of the sofa beds and the sofas - five of us had to squeeze into the two beds - definitely not ideal with teenagers. I have been renting cabins in this area for 30 years and NEVER have I had an experience as terrible as this one. This was not a cheap rental either - it was about $300/night - you would be better to stay in a Hilton and eat every meal out as opposed to dealing with this awful place.
