River Bend Inn

They put your ID/DL in a scanner for whatever reason, even though that reflects the same name as your credit card and what you look like, but the scanner wasn’t working so they decided to take a picture of my DL with their personal phone!! Staff not welcoming, seems like you are bothering them. They never acknowledge you! Not clean! Floors and hall were dirty! Mold even on the caulk in the bathroom! Breakfast was disgustin!!!

The only good thing was the location, in the heart of Pigeon Forge, yet pretty peaceful. . But the staff, at the desk, rude and dismissive! Customer Service in a Tourist Town ,HELLO. The room looked fine , but I wore new white socks on the carpet in our room which showed how filthy the rugs are. We got a great price online, but with the unfriendly staff, we're not coming back.

We booked two rooms at this hotel based on the location, photos, amenities, and price. The location is perfect. It is close to everything we wanted to do. The back porch was amazing and we saw many ducks, geese, squirrels, and even a beaver. They should have signs directing guests how to get out to it though. We had to walk outside and around the first time we went. Now for the bad.... Some photos were a bit misleading. The "pristine" indoor pool was cloudy and an off color. The pool gate lock was held on by duct tape. The hotel's own website lists a hot tub. There has never been one, as I was told by the front desk attendant. I was quite disappointed, as the weather was going to be cool and I looked so forward to a hot soak. (This is an illegal practice, considered false advertising and this hotel could be fined up to $50,000 for the violation.) Both of our rooms had roaches. One room, despite not having a balcony, had beetles and a spider also.
