The rooms are very outdated. The beds are comfy. I had a bad experience at the bar. Bar tender was more interested talking to her friends instead of waiting on customers. I saw many customers walk out. One guy even comfronted her, and she responded with an attitude. They left too. What a shame.

The hotel is known for old school elegance. Indeed, it was that. There’s an inside pool. The eating area was large and the breakfast came with accommodations. It’s a nice breakfast with eggs cooked to order and a decent supply of drinks. There are also vending machines on several floors. I like especially the style of the suites. They have living rooms, kitchen areas, and a bathroom that can be accessed from the bedroom and another from the living room. If there was one thing that could be improved, it was the toilet seats. It does not seem they have been changed since the hotel opened. Lastly, the staff were really nice.

We’ve been going here for over 30 years. Whenever they were bought out in the early 2000s, there were some upgrades. However, it is in great need of a major overhaul. The tub faucet was leaking, there was a gash in the bathroom door, the popcorn ceilings need to go, and the gold wall paint needs to be replaced. Also, the saggy mattresses have been there awhile, and I’ve been sneezing my head off since I got home- mold? The staff was amazing – from the front desk to the pool to the awesome breakfast crew. I would love it if they would make it worth the while to stay there. It’s just a great place for family!
