Terrible hotel, could not take shower or bath, no faucet in tub. Checked in late and went to bed. Found out couldn't take shower next morning when I got up. Told desk clerk, said he should have told them night before, he checked in very late, he was tired and went to bed. Offered small discount because he didn't notify immediately. Make sure u check your plumbing people in hotel room. Riduculous.

On 9/21/24 I checked in to the Quality Inn & Suites around 12:30am. I took the elevator and walked into my room and immediately was met with a very strong odor. I honestly thought the smell was urine, but checked the bathroom and everything was normal. When I entered the main area, I saw a large grey patch on the carpet between the beds, and noticed it was mold growing. The mold was so bad it was actually growing fuzzy patches on the carpet. As I looked around the room, I saw there were several other places with mold growing. It was on the bedding, the bedskirt, the hard wood surfaces, even on the furniture and curtains. I was in shock to find a room in such a terrible condition. I left the room immediately and notified the attendant at the front desk. He didn’t seem to believe me, so I asked him to some to the room with me to see for himself. We both went to the room and he too was shocked at the amount of mold in the room.  We went back to the front counter, and I told him there is no way I would be staying in that room. He told me the only other room he had available was a single king size bed. This was not going to work as we had 3 people in our group. I told him that would not work, and that I would like a refund. He proceeded to tell me that he can not and would not give me a refund because I booked with Priceline. That basically Priceline has my money and that not his problem. Instead of being sorry for the issue with the mold, I was basically scolded for using a third party to book. I called Priceline, and they said they had already send money to the hotel, but would be glad to refund me with approval of the manager at the hotel. The manager avoided their call for 2 days. Priceline and I both called, and the manager/owner, Dipal Ratanji, refused to speak with us. After many attempts, I called the front desk clerk and bluntly asked if this was their normal practice to rent unsafe rooms and refuse a refund, and she could not answer me. She did  agree to text the GM, and ask about the approval with Priceline for my refund and she told her employee that she would not be approving that and I would not be getting a refund. I am not okay with a company thinking it is okay to have a hotel room that is unsafe to rent and continue to do so! If it was a mistake, then they would be more remorseful and try to make it right. This has not been the case. I have been using Priceline and also staying at Choice Hotels for years. They have always been budget friendly and clean. I was not looking for anything fancy, just a clean place to lay my head down while visiting my daughter in college and they did not provide that. They then belittled me for using a third party, and made me feel dumb and un valued as a customer.

I wasn't expecting much from this hotel, because it was one of the last rooms left, and I usually choose nicer hotels. But I told my family that it would at least be clean. Well, it wasn't. But, that's not even why I'm writing this review. I was so offended when I called the front desk to tell them that our heater was not working. Our room was freezing, and I had let it blow cold air for about 15 minutes hoping it just needed time to warm up. It never blew warm, so I called back and asked for a new room, and she said they were full, which is understandable, so I said I would like a discount to my price since the room has no heat. She said I am already paying a discounted price ($350/night is a discounted price??? I don't think so!!!) That made me so mad. So, we checked out the next day and went somewhere clean, and that had heat. This hotel was also totally dirty. I'm giving it 1 star because the beds were comfortable. If the Quality Inn reads this review, please don't respond unless you are offering me a discount for the unheated room. I don't want any other response from you, or it will just sour the taste in my mouth even more.
