I like it because it's close to airport

I am a Wyndam gold member and booked a queen non-smoking room. They put me a room on the top floor that smelled like cigarettes and when I complained they put in room on the first floor in a high traffic area that smelled strongly of fragrance. But that wasn't the worst part. The room was loud! The doors in the hotel don't fit right, so you can see out into the hallway through the cracks between the door and the doorframe. I tried barricading the door with luggage to suppress the noise, then realized the worst noise was coming from my neighbor above me. It sounded like they were doing calisthenics. I used earplugs and a phone app to try and mass the noise, but neither helped, so I called the front desk. I was told it would cost me $5 to relocate to a new room. I repacked my bags and went back down to the desk (for the second time!) and they charged me closer to $10 for the new room. I told them if they were going to charge me, I would write bad review, but they charged me anyway. I called Wyndham Customer Care and they called the hotel and got back with me saying the hotel agreed to grant me a refund, but when I went back to front desk, I found out the "refund" would only be granted if I checked out the next morning. They were only offering to "refund" me my second night's stay! When I checked out, the hotel finally refunded me the extra charge, but by then I was completely unsatisfied. I called back Wyndham Customer Care to see if they would do anything to make me feel more satisfied and they told me they wouldn't do anything because the hotel already refunded me the extra money they charged me. I would never stay there again. The breakfast is also very limited. Nothing healthy except yogurt. I am also very disappointed with the Wyndham rewards program. Being a gold member evidently doesn't mean anything to them.

Easy check in and out. The room was fairly clean with laminate floors and I could open the windows to let in fresh air.
