Hampton Inn Houston Hobby

We have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at least four or five times when we visit relatives in Houston. First of all the good. The room was clean and we did not have it cleaned while we were there so no housekeeping problems. I did notice they have upgraded the TV's in the rooms so now they have HBO, Prime etc and you can sign in with your credentials so that was a plus. Good water pressure in the shower etc. We ate breakfast there twice and the girl who served us was a younger girl and was awesome both days. We wish we would have gotten her name. It was Mother's Day weekend so the hotel was not overly busy so it was pretty quiet the whole time we were there. Now some of the bad. The air conditioning unit made more noise than the airport nearby so we only had it on to cool down the room before we slept or it would have kept us up. We were fairly warm while there due to that. We used to like to stay here because they had a large marketplace area but it seemed to be not very well stocked this time and I had to go to the bar to get some milk to go for my nightly snack. The one time we ate at the restaurant / bar at night service was not uncomfortably slow but was better during the day and there were not that many people there so it should have been better. I had to cut my run on the treadmill in the gym to 10 minutes instead of 20 as the gym smelled like I could not decide if it was B.O. or as the pool was nearby chemicals but was unpleasant. I have used the gym on previous visits and had no problem so unknown why it smelled. Overall we had a nice time but it was not the standard it has been in the past.

Great location, especially if you need to leave your car for extended time while you’re on vacation going in and out of Hobby airport. staff for the breakfast buffet was very helpful.

Great location if going to airport. Shuttle service was very quick. No free breakfast. A normal hotel breakfast is $14 and has the same food as another free Hilton hotel. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable
