I had to book this room at the last minute and it was a huge mistake. The kid working the desk when I checked in didn't speak English so I wasn't informed of the checkout time which cost me an extra day.
The A/C was out and wouldn't turn off, so it filled the room with rancid air that made the place smell like cat urine. And, it kept the carpeting wet.
When I checked in, they had a bed being cleaned in the parking lot assumedly because of bed bugs. It freaked me out and I slept in top of the covers.
Since I wasn't told the check out time, I assumed since I checked in at 9:00 pm for a two day stay that I had until 9:00 pm on my second day to check out. Oh how was I wrong! The owner, who spoke less English than the night clerk, was obviously annoyed with me but lacked the communication skills to articulate well.
When I went to the front desk, the older woman with the short blond hair was even more unpleasant than the Indian ownership. I explained to her how I was informed about the check out time, and she informed me it wasn't her problem and they didn't have to tell me.
Kilgore is bad enough. The Executive Inn made it worse. Spend the extra money and stay at the Holiday Inn.

My husband, two friends and myself stayed here Saturday night March 14, 2015. It was late getting in too Texas traveling from a long ways away. We stayed in two different rooms. Both rooms had problems and was not pleasant at all. One room had a horrible smell and the other one that my husband and I stayed in, the noises with the appliances kept us up all night long until we finally had to unplug them. The bars of soap they put in the room is a laugh. One pack of shampoo/conditioner was not enough to was your hands with let alone wash your hair. Thankfully I had brought my own stuff. To top it off the stay, I felt like I was being watched the whole time I was there. I would not recommend staying there at all.
