HAMPTON SUITES HOUSTON-LEAGUE CITY

My husband and I stay at this hotel once every quarter, usually for 2-3 nights so I can go to MD Anderson for tests and appointments. Our most recent visit was the end of January when all the inclement weather was coming in and flights were being cancelled. The day before we were scheduled to check out and head back home, we got notification that our flight had been cancelled. As a matter of fact, it had been canceled an additional three times due to conditions on the ground in Memphis (ice and snow). This hotel was full but they were so gracious to accommodate us for additional nights and made us feel so welcome. They have an amazing team that I wanted to given a shout out too: Chris, Sparkle, Leah, Glendi, and Edna. Thank you all so much for your smiles and going the extra mile!!!

First I want to start by saying that I've stayed at this hotel many times before embarking on my cruise out of Galveston. I love the location since it's near plenty of food options and only a 20 minute drive to the cruise port. Employees are always friendly and they have diamond club parking right next to the elevator doors. With that said I booked 3 rooms 407, 409, and 411 on March 13. We dropped off our bags and went out to eat and went to Kemah. When we came back I got ready for bed around 10pm. As I was making the bed to go to sleep I saw a bug crawling on the pillow and it looked like a bed bug. I took the pillow down to the front desk and let them know of the situation. At first they were say they were sold out and couldn't change our room. But they called a supervisor who helped us get another room. I checked the other rooms and didn't see signs of bed bugs but the anxiety over the past week has kept me up at night. The hotel manager definitely tried to calm my fears. She washed all my clothes that may have touched the bed. She listened to me and was very empathetic. I don't fault the hotel since they were likely brought in by another traveler but now I'm so worried about an infestation in my own home I'm just not sleeping well. I hope the hotel is not allowing people to stay in that room and hopefully they are treating it which I know can take months to get rid of an infestation. I booked the hotel with points but at minimum I think the hotel should have refunded my points back to me.

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel, and the overall experience was good! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful! The breakfast staff was friendly and kept the breakfast area very clean! The breakfast was good! However, no potatoes were offered during my stay! The room was clean and comfortable! There is plenty of free parking! Great location, and Galveston is approximately 25 miles from the hotel! There are plenty of restaurants nearby!
