Unfriendly check in, seemed to be put out. Room fresh painted with strong fumes, no trash can, floors dirty, light switches filthy, sheets thin and stained, flimsy bed cover no proper blanket air conditioning unplugged once plugged thermostat does not seem to work literally woke up at 3 am and writing this because of how frustrated I am to be staying here The pics looked fine and like I menrioned above it is painted but that “fresh” look really not much other than make up on another bare bones basic with questionable cleaning unfriendly servixe and cheap or old beds curtains and amenities. At the price definitely could do better. Oh and the horrible light bulbs the kind that just makes you feel depressed.

We got to the room and my room was smoke free but my other room smelt like smoke. We where getting ready to go to bed and my husband checked the doors and I sat on the chair and Cockroaches started to spread everywhere! This place is filthy and unsanitary. We left immediately after we seen the bugs spreading. They charged me for one night but I got the other 3 nights refunded.

Although the location is called "McAllen Airport", it's definitely outside of McAllen proper, in an area dominated by warehouses. The room was clean. Bed wasn't very comfortable. Pool was dirty, my girlfriend wanted to swim so we went down to the pool and once we saw it we said forget that! The "breakfast included" part was a terrible joke. The room that breakfast was served in was no bigger (maybe smaller) than the standard nightly hotel room and only had a few small tables. Coffee/juice, toast, and a single waffle maker. That's it. No bananas or fruit. If you want to eat, there's a good chance you will have to eat breakfast standing up next to the food counters in the way of everyone as there are only a few tables in this small room (and *plenty* of hotel guests). If you want a waffle, plan on *standing in line* for a good twenty minutes or more per trip to the waffle machine until it is your turn to make a waffle. Ridiculous. The good points about this hotel was that it was clean and about as inexpensive as you can find, but honestly if you are willing to pay 10 more dollars a night you can get hotels literally twice as nice as this place (Which I did every night after the night I stayed here). But it beats sleeping in your car during the hot months if you truly don't have those 10 extra dollars...
