We weren’t expecting luxury, but this place was beyond bad. The moment we walked in, the room smelled old, musty, and honestly creepy. Even my dog was upset — he actually cried when we got into the room, which he NEVER does. Things got worse when I turned down the bed and found stains all over the sheets. There was no mattress protector, just stained sheets directly on the mattress. Completely unacceptable. I texted management and they said housekeeping would come change them, but why are stained sheets being used in the first place? Then a man called me and actually suggested the housekeepers probably “couldn’t see the stains because the lighting in the room wasn’t good.” That response alone told me everything I needed to know. At that point, I told them I could not stay there. Of course the room was “non-refundable,” but there are basic standards for cleanliness and habitability that this place did not meet. We left immediately and got a room at the nearby Days Inn for only slightly more money — and it was infinitely better. DO NOT STAY HERE. Seriously. Beware.

Booked to stay (via booking.com) months in advance, when we arrived reception was locked, the phone number to call went to a full mailbox. Finally made contact with someone that said they had no room for us. A cancellation email had been sent a few hours before, but being in a National Park without signal we had not seen it. The thing seemed like a scam. Ended up having to pay twice the amount to get a room elsewhere late on a Saturday night.

Not what we expected! Very old, unkempt, basic lodging. We only slept there, but it was loud at night, and the bathroom was abysmal. The towels were stained, and one of the light bulbs didn't work. The hall floor was cracked. It's okay if you need a bed, but otherwise, find a different place! Definitely overpriced for what is provided.
