Baymont Salt Lake City Hotel

I was a little leery of this hotel since I read some bad reviews. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was tasteful and the hotel overall had a very open and welcoming feel. I stayed with my husband and 4 kids in the 2 bedroom suite. I loved the layout with the full kitchen, living room, and separate sleeping areas with two separate bathrooms. Everyone had enough space and the room was well equipped with everything we needed including dishes and extra blankets. The beds were comfortable and each room had its own TV. The breakfast had more options than most hotels I have stayed in. Even though we didn't use it, the waterslide and pool were a cool added perk. The location was convenient, only a few minutes from downtown and not far from the airport. Very affordable for what you get! We will definitely be back. This place is a gem!

This is a great hotel. Rooms are spacious and have kitchenettes. The morning breakfast buffet is wonderful-they have anything you could possibly want. Staff are courteous as well. The food service staff who set up and restock the breakfast buffet are always right on top of things. Would definitely stay here again.

This is honestly the worst Staybridge I have ever seen or stayed at. They need to seriously do some revamping of their housekeeping and maintenance departments. I stayed last week and my bed sheets were covered in hair (two on my pillow, one under the pillows, 4 to 5 in the sheets). I originally cleaned them off and carried on. Hoping that they weren’t from the staff just remaking the bed after the last guest and not replacing the sheets. The room was otherwise ok. Now this week? I’m unhappy. I was put into a handicapped room as they were “fully booked”, despite having my reservation since February. This handicapped room is sad. They clearly pay less attention to it for both housekeeping and maintenance standards, which is terrible for the people in wheelchairs who actually need to use it. The room feels grungy overall. There is a musty smell. The whole room needs an overhaul. Specific areas that are not acceptable: - the door is not hung properly. Leaving a gap straight to the hallway from the room. This is a privacy violation. - there are smudges of poop? blood? beside the toilet paper holder in the bathroom. - the tub is disgusting and was poorly “repaired”. - many poor “patch” jobs on areas around the room like the baseboards in the photo. - the door jam to the bathroom does not fit and hangs out sloppy and weird. Do yourself a favour and stay ANY else.
