AVOID THIS HOTEL, IT IS NEGLEGENT AND MAKES DANGEROUS DECISIONS
I made a reservation through booking.com a week prior to arriving in Salt Lake. I then made a request to the property personally for a late check-in after 10pm. They messaged me back, letting me know the late check-in was approved. So 1. The hotel was aware of my reservation and 2. They had my contact information because they had previously contacted me. (See all of my photos I submitted). LUCKILY I got into Salt Lake early and was able to check-in (or I assumed) on time. I was dropped off at the hotel by Uber and went in to check-in only to be told that I did not have a room there. Not only were they aware of my reservation, but they neglected to contact me when they knew that they couldn't fulfill my reservation. They claimed that their hotel cleaning staff didn't come in that day and they didn't have any rooms cleaned for me to stay in. Mind you this was at 4 or 5pm. What was going to happen if I had gotten there at 10 to 11pm when I was supposed to be checking in. Hotel cleaning staff arrives early in the morning and rooms begin emptying out at 11am. 11am the hotel could have contacted me and booking.com or both, but neglected to do so. They just expected me to arrive there in the middle of the night and not have a safe place for me to stay. With no transportation either, mind you. It wasn't like I was going to be able to sleep in my car. The hotel didn't offer me ANY remedies, they didn't try to help me find new accomodations, they didn't offer me a refund right there on the spot. They just left me stranded. Like I said earlier this was at around 5pm thankfully. I had to reach out to family members to help me out. A hotel was found for me, and I wasn't able to get ahold of booking.com until after midnight. Booking.com gave me a full refund which I will get in 10-12 days (ridiculous) + $44 if I had to pay more for my new hotel I found ... BUT only $44, nothing more. I am sending letters out to all the corporate big wigs I can!! I am a young man in my early 20's, what if I was a woman put into this situation by the hotel? What if this was my mom or grandmother? I shudder at the thought of anyone being stranded like this hotel did to me.

Stayed here for a night a couple weeks ago, to be close to Sugar House Park. Check-in was smooth and friendly, and there was a follow up call to check on things after we got settled into the room. I usually find front desk people to be either quite indifferent or overly nice in a scripted way, but I found Christina to be friendly and welcoming in all the right ways, after a long day of driving. It’s the type of customer service that makes you want to come back again. I haven’t written a review in quite a while, but thought she warranted a special mention.
The place itself was spacious and very clean, exactly what we wanted, and the price was right. Didn’t get a chance to see a lot of the surrounding area, but it was filled with modern shops and eateries, with a walkable feel to the neighbourhood. Would definitely stay here again next time I pass thru town.

The first room they tried to put us in smelled like wet dog - fortunately they were able to put us in another room that didn’t smell. Comfortable beds, really good location near shopping and restaurants, as well as the airport. They don’t have an ice machine or any other amenities. The kitchenette is not equipped with anything (plates, utensils, etc) - although we were told those items could be loaned out from the main lobby. It’s an okay place for one night, and fit our need. Just okay overall. Wouldn’t necessarily stay here again, but would if this was the only hotel available I guess.
