BEST WESTERN PLUS COTTONTREE I

The only positive about our experience is that it was "pet friendly". The stay started off with a less than great experience with the check-in. The staff who checked us in got our loyalty status wrong and said he could do nothing about it and I would have to call BW Customer Service. I asked him for the number and was told "you can find it on the Internet". Not helpful. After an Internet search for how to contact Customer Service (because it's not readily found on their website), I called and got it sorted. The room was dingy, the bathtub drain wasn't working when we had a shower, and the AC unit sounded like it needed permission from the control tower to take off... ALL NIGHT. Breakfast was horrible. All the juices watered down and the coffee looked like pond water. This is the second time we've stayed here as part of a long road trip and it will probably be the last.

Don’t stay here if you have any valuables at all! They have a sticky finger housekeeper. My mom had a pair of real gold hoops, pave diamond earrings, and a pave heart diamond necklace stolen out of her suitcase. It was in a box in the pocket and housekeeping obviously helped themselves. We looked everywhere to no avail and they were the only ones who had access to our room other than my mom and myself.My aunt also strategically placed her pajamas over her jewelry in her suitcase, and the pajamas were not folded the same when she returned, and the jewelry had been gone through. The maid also had moved a bunch of our stuff around, moved all of our bathroom stuff around and was obviously in our personal belongings. The hotel did nothing to compensate my mother. I will definitely not stay here again and recommend others not stay here as well until they get there stealing under control.

The BW Cotton Tree is in a very central location. The hotel is clean and beds are comfortable. The free breakfast is wonderful with options for all to enjoy.
