Econo Lodge Downtown

Don’t stay here. The room smells like poo. A very strong smell of poo. Visually the room looks better than expected…everything outside looks VERY nasty. The room carpet looks relatively new (NO stains or worn marks), but clearly, a dog has taken a sh*t somewhere or there is something dead in one of the drawers, and it hasn’t been cleaned up and is festering. We had to go out and buy a candle…which helped tremendously. Note: there is NO fire detector in the room. Of course this place is dog friendly. Based on all the people hanging out in the parking lot, everyone smokes and has at least 1 big dog. People are living here long term. It would’ve been nice if they put all the dog people in the same area, so that we didn’t have to hear dogs barking under and on the sides of us. There’s dogs barking at each other in the parking lot. Basically, if you want quiet, don’t stay here. If you want clean, don’t stay here. Wore socks as “shower shoes”, and then threw them out. Yes, this place is that nasty…and we are budget motel people…but this place was just too much, as in awful. Room 249.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Sticky stuff on the nightstand, dirt and crumbs on the floor, hair all over, sheets still nasty from last guest, furniture falling apart, and a bad smell. Had to switch rooms, but the other one wasn't much better. Maybe this place rents rooms by the hour? Several other local places to stay at that are way cheaper and clean. I made a huge mistake staying here. I was told the owner invests nothing into the hotel and doesn't offer refunds.

If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. This is the most disgusting place I've ever stepped foot in. Keys didn't work, bugs on the walls, bathroom door didn't shut, and floors were very dirty. Our mattress looked like a petri dish. I wouldn't enter this room without a hazmat suit on. If this is your only option, I would sleep in your car. The only highlight was the young man behind the desk. He was very nice and apologetic when we asked for our money back.
