My now wife and I booked our elopement at the Arlington Inn and Spa. We booked the “Tier 2” package as we thought it was the best affordable option. We were super excited after talking to Cheryl off and on as the date approached. Then when the Friday before came and we went to check in we found out that Cheryl was on vacation and that Jen was going to be “helping” us on our special day. Upon checking in and being brought to our room the “Lucinda Room” it was clean however after reading multiple reviews of all these updates I’m not sure where they were. The shower was absolutely tiny and i could barely turn in it as well as the inconsistent hot water. On top of this the next day no one came to talk to us about how anything was going to go during our ceremony until 30 minutes before where they decorated…with a table and a table cloth in a falling apart gazebo. The flowers hanging looked as though they were on their way out and there wasn’t much upkeep to the grounds. Overall we were not impressed with how our “special day” was held we ended up leaving after the ceremony. Instead of staying for our second night that was part of the elopement package. The best part of the entire thing was honestly the photographer Greg Nesbitt he made the entire thing a little better and took great photos.

If the nostalgia of the property does not impress you, the level to detail & service will. Cheryl the manager was such a help to plan this 1st time ski trip to Stratton Mountain from Maine with my son. We stayed during non peak season in the winter & we where able to take advantage of a flat rate offer that allowed you to select the most expensive rooms for the same cost as a standard room. In fact, our room had its own whirlpool bathtub & fireplace. The complimentary breakfast is outstanding with the thickest bacon I had ever tasted & lots of other hot & even healthy options. I would highly recommend this property without any reservations.

What a quaint country get away in vermont! Everything was great-the staff were welcoming and friendly, the decor makes you step back in time, we had a fantastic massage and will be back again! We stayed in the carriage house and absolutely loved the gigantic tub and cozy fireplace! Unfortunately they were not really serving a true dinner when we were there but there were snacks and a full breakfast. Plenty of other good choices nearby. Couldn’t believe this place didn’t cost more! Do yourself and the community a favor by giving your money to the locals here instead of funneling it into corporate American up in Manchester and get yourself a true taste of Vermont instead!
