The photos on the internet are either old or photoshopped the main building looks a lot more weathered. But anyway, check in was quick and easy and the owner was very helpful. They have a coin operated laundry which the manager will trade notes for coins for you. I was upgraded to a king room from a double and initially I was happy with this but there was a very strong musty smell to the room (13) so I opened the window and left the door open for a while. The bed was enormous and well appointed. The furniture was good and you could tell the owners wife had an input because there were some nice feminine touches. The bathroom had been renovated and had a good sink and mirror, but appeared to be the original bath with a difficult to operate tap. However the water was very hot which is good. Once I went to bed I realised that the bed was a bit lumpy and the musty smell reappeared once I closed the window, I also detected a cat smell in the room, unfortunately this hotel does accept pets which is great for pet owners but not for others who have to put up with the smell. It was good for an overnighter, but there are no amenities at all and no breakfast. Check out was easy I just dropped the key on the counter because there was no one there.

This motel stands out with its excellent hospitality and superb service. The convenient location ensures easy access. The car can be parked right outside the room which gives an easy access with heavy luggage. Although the rooms and washrooms are fairly average, the exceptional service makes it a great choice for a comfortable stay.

At least the beds were comfortable and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg for a Friday night. Room was very run down and reeked of weed when we walked in. Quick stop by the Walmart for a deodorizer made the air tolerable. Speaking of air...the portable window A/C did nothing to remove the humidity in the room and it blows directly on the beds. The bathroom was awful; water on the floor from the sink and toilet and we had to use the towels to keep the water from entering the room carpeting. Not sure what purpose the extra large Dunkin' cup under the P-trap of the bathroom sink was to serve. The place looks OK from the outside...maybe we had the worst room? Spend the money for a better experience in Bennington.
