LORIEN HOTEL AND SPA A KIMPTON

Stayed at the Archer Hotel in Old Town Alexandria. The check in host was outstanding, well spoken, and welcoming. Room was nice, no issues at all. The night before check out, I asked for my car to be brought up by valet at 6:15 am the next morning. Come the next morning, I walk into the lobby and the hotel door is wide open. There is a homeless man walking around inside the lobby. The "attendant", while nice, was dressed in plain clothes with no identification on advising me he was an employee. At this point, I pushed our luggage cart through the lobby and the courtyard. The homeless man was inside the lobby, another homeless man was sleeping on the courtyard bench with his hand down his pants. The "attendant", working as the hotel host, security guard, and valet person, had to go get my car in the basement and left the front door wide open, creating a security risk for all. Not this "attendants" fault at all. Sham on hotel management for leaving one person to manage everything, creating a security risk for all guests, and not showing pride in their property 24 hours a day, especially when guests are sleeping. While hotel was nice, would never stay here again due to those reasons.

As seasoned travelers we can't say enough about the total positive experience we had at the Archer Hotel in Old Town Alexandria. The location was walking distance from the Metro and Amtrak stations. The hotel was right on King Street where you can take the free trolley or bus around town to shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and spacious. The outdoor courtyard was lovely and the inside lounge area was a relaxing retreat, From check in to check out the front desk staff was accommodating, friendly and attentive to all our needs. We unfortunately had to extend our stay unexpectedly due to a car accident. Sofia and Isabella at the front desk were incredibly understanding and helpful throughout the whole process. Their kindness during a stressful situation made a real difference. We highly recommend the Hotel Archer, especially for the wonderful staff who go above and beyond!

So far the best place I ever been to! Super Friendly Staff, from Housekeeping, to breakfast Staff! Room always clean great location too!
