HAMPTON INN SUITES REAGAN AIRPORT

Let me start with the positives. It is close to DC and they let you park your own car instead of valeting it into some tiny parking garage themselves (but you still have to pay). It is also clean and updated. Those are important things, with cleanliness being the main reason we stay exclusively at Hilton/Hampton Inns. However, there were a few things about this Hampton Inn that were very un-Hampton Inn like. First, and most importantly, the breakfast ended at 9:00 am instead of 10:00 am like other locations. There was a steady stream of confused, disgruntled, hangry guests in the breakfast area between 9:00 and 10:00. The staff just shrugged and said, “It ends at 9:00.” Another disappointment was that two hours before checkout, the cleaning staff was walking the halls knocking on doors to see who was still in their rooms. It felt like summer camp. Third, if you’re driving, there is only a very tight, drop off area with a tiny radius, in which you must unload all bags quickly because you cannot get from the garage into the hotel. And guess what? There are also zero luggage carts available for your luggage. So, in sum, it’s fine, but be mindful of the breakfast hours because they don’t tell you that it ends early.

I have stayed here many times in the past and will continue to stay here in the future. For this trip, it was just for 1 night prior to an early morning departure from DCA. The staff is always so nice, from the front desk folks to the breakfast attendants to the shuttle drivers. Shout out to all of them!! My room was on the top floor, in a corner and slightly oversized. The room was clean, super quiet and very comfortable. The beds at this location have always been very nice. I love that you can stay on the 10th floor and still have great water pressure and immediate hot water for your shower! Breakfast was OK. The shuttle service was fantastic. I dropped my rental car after checking in at the hotel and when I called for the shuttle, he was there within 10 minutes. The shuttle was a little busy the morning I flew out and the shuttle driver took good care of all us onboard. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I visit the DC area.

Clean, comfortable 3-star hotel at a reasonable price in a convenient location. Metro 5-min walk; many nearby restaurants. Comfortable bed, clean, well maintained room; excellent HVAC/room temp controls in this midst of a snowstorm. Good lighting. Working safe. All things a decent 3-star should be. Service: Kept me well-stocked with coffee during storm (thank you). TLC throughout storm, touching base by txt to see if I needed anything, & much appreciated. In-room refrigerator delightfully quiet , but froze my salad, but that’s on me for not checking (was edible when thawed). Fitness center was a welcome surprise: open 24/7, and had free weights and easy to use treadmills. Great to be able to stretch using the balls, and free, fresh towels. All so welcome (Did not use pool.). Free, on-site hot breakfast better maintained than other Hamptons patroned. Appreciated the fresh fruit and oatmeal (wish they offered plain yogurt). My spouse was thrilled I was staying at this Hampton again as we had a positive experience here less than a year ago. Safe, clean, comfortable. Gratitude
