My wife and I booked this hotel as part of our week long vacation 5th wedding anniversary for two nights. We had no idea this place did not provide parking as we thought hotels did. We had to pay $20 to park three blocks away. The desk receptionist (female) told us on night two we had to pay for a parking spot in an alley behind the hotel and pay 50 dollars for it. This was after paying for the room plus a room deposit which was not mentioned through booking.com. That receptionist told us we had to pay a deposit as well for the parking spot for the night on their property mind you. The next day another desk receptionist that works graveyard shift (male) told us we shouldn't have had to pay for any parking as the parking spots out front on the street were free parking all night and that all we had to do was move the car by 7 am to avoid a parking ticket all of which he said we should have been told by the other receptionist. Also that same female receptionist was asked by my wife if there were any maps of the city we could have. She said no but we found one from a very helpful person who worked at the Viceroy Hotel next door. I would not recommend the District Hotel to any tourists as they don't care about thier guests as apparrent by our experience. The female receptionist was not helpful and treated us like dumb tourists

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. If you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and don’t stay here…

Back in the day, this was a flop house. 14th Street was the red light district and prostitutes used the hotel for their johns. They could get hourly and nightly rates.
