Renaissance D.C. Hotel

I am big on service so if the service is good you're going to hear about it and if the service isn't great, you're going to hear about it! This downtown DC Marriott property boasts a modern feel with great service to match. I have stayed at many Marriotts over the years and I am glad that this hotel for my overnight stay was in line with some of the best experiences I've had. The lobby area was very nice and had plenty places to sit, concierge and the bellhop were available and attentive, and I was greeted multiple times while entering and exiting the lobby. From the valet service to the breakfast service to check out-every staff member I encountered was phenomenal. Although there was one hiccup at the end of my stay the employees worked diligently to ensure that it will be resolved. I am still waiting for final resolution but I trust that it will be resolved soon. My room was nice but I will give a 4/5 due to one small problem I addressed with the front desk. Otherwise, the room was clean, beds soft yet firm enough so it doesn't feel worn out, no uncomfortable smells, and the A/C was working wonderfully! The staff that gave exemplary service were: Isaiah, Natna, and Greg at Valet. Isaiah went above and beyond to accommodate us in the midst of rushing and as the first encounter upon getting to the hotel, this set the tone for the stay. Karen and Alem at Root & Vine for breakfast were welcoming and friendly. Yusuf went above and beyond to address my room concern and ask a manager to assist. He was pleasant and professional. Kevin at the front desk was PHENOMONAL with greeting me, making small talk while filling me in on the hotel amenities, and clearly explained what my destination fee included. He also reassured me by answering all my questions after I had to come back after check-out. Geraldine stepped in and assisted me as I was in a rush at checkout and Caitlyn helped me feel better about a resolution to my problem when I had to return hours after checkout to make sure the problem was resolved. In summary-I will return!

We had such an amazing stay at the Westin Downtown DC. From check in with Alex who made my 7 room check in a breeze to check out with Aja who made checking out of my 7 rooms stress free. Tawanna assisted with making arrangements for luggage storage during a brief layover. You should definitely take the time to stay at the Westin Downtown DC its a top notch experience!
