TERRIBLE BEYOND YOUR IMAGINATIONI would strongly advise anyone considering this Quality Inn in Lynchburg, Virginia, to stay elsewhere. My room was in an unacceptable condition. There was visible mold in the bathroom, raising serious cleanliness and maintenance concerns. The bed appeared not to have been properly changed before my arrival. I found four dead bugs in the sheets, along with sand and grass in the area where a guest’s feet would rest. Even more disturbing, when I turned back the bedspread, I discovered what appeared to be organic material that may have come from a baby’s diaper on the underside. This was one of the most unsanitary hotel rooms I have ever encountered. Cleanliness is the most basic expectation of any hotel, and this property failed badly. I cannot recommend staying here until management addresses these serious housekeeping and sanitation issues. The Department of Health should inspect this hotel.

Do not waste your time considering this hotel. It’s not right. The smell is off. It’s some kind of weird musty smell. They don’t have an elevator. The carpets are filthy. When I went to my room, it also had that weird smell. The comforters were wrinkled and one of them was a little soiled. I decided them that I could not stay for the two nights that I reserved. I called the 1-800 # to let them know that I couldn’t do 2 nights as previously reserved. By the way, we had two rooms. Okay, I was told since I had already checked in, I had to go to the front desk and let them know. Okay, so back to the front desk, I go. I explained that I would not need the 2 nights and he said “okay, no problem, just come down before 11:00”. I was grateful because I could not do this room for 2 nights. It was a long drive and I needed to bathe my kids. I bathed one and I saw some white stuff floating in water as I was letting the water drain. So I thought, that must’ve been some weird soap 🤔 I bathed my second child and again, when I drain the water, I see more white stuff floating in the water. I grabbed a few pieces of the white stuff and saw it was paint. The tub had been painted and the paint was peeling, omg. Now, I’m praying that this flaky peeling paint does not harm my kids. I wanted to get some ice and took the lid off the ice bucket and I literally saw “mold”. The next morning I’m really ready to go. I send my little boy outside to put his bag in the van and this little guy was too curious and pulled the fire alarm. I heard the noise but I did not know at this time he had done this. I soon find out that my little boy was not honest with me. I needed to use the bathroom and I hear a knock on the door and I told the kids not to open the door because I was on the toilet but my little boy said the man told him to open the door. Now, I find out that my little boy pulled the fire alarm. I’m yelling from the bathroom that “I’m in the bathroom and I need a minute”. I did this about 5 times but this man is fussing at my little boy like it’s his child and keeps fussing at him in spite of my yells from the bathroom. My son told him multiple times that his Mom was in the bathroom and to give me a few minutes but he continued to fuss. I understand he was upset about the fire alarm being pulled but he should not have continued to fuss at my little boy while I was not available. I’m really ready to go now. I finish getting my stuff and my older son goes to check us out. I was charged $150 fine for the fire alarm being pulled, $40 for an early check out and they still charged me for a night that I did not stay.pI think this is horrible. I will never stay at the Quality Inn in Lynchburg again. I will sleep in my vehicle first. I do not recommend anyone to stay there. I wish I could change my one star half a star.

I’d like to begin by highlighting the excellent staff at this hotel. From the breakfast team to the front desk and housekeeping, everyone was incredibly helpful and courteous. The room rates were also very reasonable, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The lobby felt outdated and uninviting, and there were no helpful suggestions or resources provided for things to do around town. Despite being just minutes from Liberty University, the hotel offered no discounts or special accommodations for visiting families—an opportunity clearly missed. Pet accommodations were also lacking. There was very limited space for dogs to relieve themselves, and during much of our stay, we had to take our dog to the neighboring hotel for that purpose. Additionally, there was only one spot to access pet waste bags. As for the room itself, it was noticeably outdated—from the TV to the bathroom and overall decor. More concerning than the age of the furnishings was the lack of cleanliness. Dust and grime were visible along the baseboards, in the bathtub, and around the sink. The television was so old it didn’t support basic connections for streaming from a computer or other device. Unfortunately, due to these issues, we will not be returning to this hotel.
