The good: The location was great. We were walking distance away from several restaurants; including a general store with an ice cream shop. The free breakfast was good, having a waffle maker is a plus. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus after a long day. The suite was big and spacious. I was there with my two teens and after pulling out the sofa bed, we each had our own bed. I didn't use it much but the kitchenette is a great addition and would have gladly used if we spent more time there.
The bad: The DAMPNESS. Our room felt wet the moment we walked in. The sheets all had that wetness feel to them. Our brochures we picked up at the front desk were drooping after an hour in the room. It was even worse after using the shower since there was no active fan and a vent pointing out into the main suite. I was also disappointed that if I wanted to use the sofa bed, I had to set it up myself, sheets included.
Would I stay here again, well... yes I would. There are lots of perks to staying here however, I would want to check the room beforehand to make sure it's not damp.

First and Foremost: if you are accustomed to any decent hotel or take the Marriott brand name to mean quality, do NOT stay here. This location is individually owned and operated under the Marriott name but it does NOT come close to Marriott standards. The management company needs a major overhaul.
Location: close to Busch Gardens and Water Park, plenty of restaurants and shops close by.
Rooms: in desperate need of TLC - pictures can speak for themselves but the lack of care and maintenance in these rooms left them feeling neglected, dirty and uncomfortable for our family stay. My daughter left with a terrible cough and congestion - I’m attributing it to the terrible air quality that is coming out of the filthy vents.
Service/Cleanliness: left much to be desired; knowing it’s a longer term stay type of hotel, I knew we wouldn’t have daily cleaning service however several things we requested, said they would be taken care of and never happened.
Examples: request on trash take out (or tell us where to take it ourselves - told they would get trash from room, didn’t happen one time in our 4 night, 5 day stay
- the provided body wash was empty on day 1, asked front desk to replenish on day 1, never happened
- we are a family of 5, asked for additional towels (2 bath towels were provided at check in) - day 2 dirty towels were removed from the room, but no clean towels were left behind….ZERO towels. Husband went down to the desk that evening and requested towels as we had no way of showering; day 3 we got towels at some point in the day, in a plastic bag thrown on our entry way floor, several towels had fallen out onto the bare floor
- lobby bathroom was used multiple times through our stay, it NEVER had hand soap. Husband let the front desk know but it never was replaced (this is also the bathroom right next to the breakfast area so lord knows how many people used the bathroom, didn’t have soap to wash hands and returned to the breakfast space)
Breakfast: assorted and variety of foods however our first morning there were cases of yogurts and other items that clearly stated “Refrigeration Needed” but they were out in the common area for the span of several hours.
- pesky flies and gnats were constantly hovering in the food area and the dining area - we also ate a take out dinner in the dining area one night (bc I refused to bring additional food into our room when the trash was an issue) and flies were everywhere
Overall: do not recommend this location of Residence Inn

Staff were friendly, but the rooms weren’t clean enough to my standards. Our room in particular had a strange odor with visible dirt and smeared surfaces. Also the AC clearly isn’t working well, as we had two window units to keep the room “cool” which would be covered by the curtains at night. We booked for several nights but ended up canceling and going elsewhere.
