What a lovely hotel. I have never met a friendlier staff. They were so helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The location is in the heart of Seattle making everything walkable. The rooms are very clean and beds were great.

I have stayed at the Paramount Hotel at least a dozen times in the past fifteen years and have always enjoyed it. This time was no different, but in light of recent renovations I am rethinking my lodging choice. As a reader, I really missed the old easy chairs with ottomans which are now hard upholstered benches away from the window light. I generally hate having to always "sit" on the bed in a hotel room, especially if my street clothes are still on. My back hates it too. The bedside lamps were great for "ambiance" but the lights were too dim and hanging too low for reading. Another surprise was no mug in the room. I don't care about the coffee maker because I always travel with a kettle and tea, but had nothing to pour hot water into until the next morning when I bought a tea at Hyatt Olive 8 and used that cup the rest of the week. That is just ridiculous for such a nice hotel. Finally it's hard to believe there are no "smart" TV's. In this day and age its so fun to finally have a free evening to curl up with a good movie. Heck, I'd settle for some HBO or the like, but instead I had half an episode of "Shark Tank" and a few minutes of CBC before the commercials drove me crazy. I just don't get it. This hotel has all the right bones, a great staff and a phenomenal location. But maybe it's not for me any longer.

This is a great little hotel right buy both theaters, the Pike Place market, new amazing waterfront park and so much more. The hotel itself is awesome, very comfortable with great staff. We go back again and again because they treat us so well. We highly recommend this place!
