Do Not Book, no matter what website you find this hotel on‼️ Howard Johnson on 8726 S Hosmer St, 98444 shows false advertisement/ pictures of their property. They post false up to date, moderate pictures of their hotel, front office and rooms. My personal experience with them was horrific. I’ve pre booked a couple weeks ahead through Expedia.com, upon arrival it’s clearly in the lower part of town. Pulling into the parking lot you’d think you’ve arrived at the wrong location, view is very run down, nothing like the nice property that was up on the website (was told later that is a sister location). We were only there tops 5 min when walking back into the office to ask for a refund and was rudely refused. There was a “No refund” sign on their wall that said, No Refunds After 10 Minutes, ect. Surprisingly it took me a while to get that one. I was told it’s for customers who rent a room that same day, did not apply to us. Made sense of it afterwards, after viewing everything from walking from the office to the room we were given. Nothing seemed up to code! Doors looked as if they could be easily kicked in, already half falling apart. Cracks all up the walls as if the building could collapse any moment. Super tiny rooms, not as advertised and stated! Opened the room door and the awful smell just hits you in the face immediately. OMG!… the horrible beds, uncomfortable springy old beds in the shape of a “U” from being so worn out. Sat to test the bed and a big creek and pop was made sound as if the bed was broken and we unbalanced it. Was scared to pick up the one sheet that was laid on it, not even a fitted sheet, looked like a flat sheet tucked in horribly. No blankets just two old flat looking pillows with thin, cheap casing. The room looked nothing like in the pictures or described online. Everything down to the color scheme! We were horrified! Large patio sliding window door with a unpleasant view, very dangerous unsafe feeling for such an area. The 10 minute no refund warning sign made total sense after viewing this property and room. This property attracts prostitution and addicts from the look of it. Management was very unprofessional. The receptionist immediately had her guard up as we walked back into the office what was 2 minutes later. Refused the refund immediately without running it by anyone. When asked to speak to the manager I was told she’s around the back and can hear everything and will not be refunding us. I demanded she come out and speak to me. She eventually did and had took offense of the conditions I described the room in. Refused me upon walking around the opened wall from the little back room. Her argument was we signed the paper and therefore can not be refunded and we will lose out of our full payment for 3 night stay. Not a cent to be refunded! Since I had booked through Expedia.com I was told it’s through a third party and has nothing to do with them and call their customer service to request a refund. “IF” they want to refund us, she stated. I was spoken to in a ill-educated manner. I was taken back by the unprofessionalism from both the receptionist and the property manager/owner. Do not book here, please adhere to my warning of this unsafe, unsanitary property and Book elsewhere. Save the headache! Steer clear of these scheme artist employer’s and invest your money into a safer more appealing hotel. I was forced to leave without a Refund. Thank you for taking the time to read my honest experience/review. I wish I could go more into detail, but I feel as if this little bit has done enough justice. I hope for no one to have to endure what I had, my first time ever visiting Washington state and having to search for an available hotel room last minute.

The first room Smelled like cigarette smoke. Didn't have any of the amenities. Holes in the walls. Sticky floors. Couch had white dripping stains down it. Crushed food under furniture. Lamp shades were stained and broken. Walls had stains running down. Broken/ cracked windows. Second room just as bad didn't quite smell as smokey. The stove in the kitchenette wasn't hooked up to knobs or plugged in.
I have pictures if anyone requires proof of how terrible the rooms were.

Not at all what it is on website. Will not recommend to anyone. People loitering. Urinating in parking lot, sleeping in there cars. Homeless people climbing over the fence. Rooms need major improvement. Smells so bad, stained carpets, sofa, broken furniture. I stayed in the same brand in Portland which was 100% better than this infested mess.
