Holiday Inn Express Hotel Wenatchee

Rooms look nice but are outdated. The AC was extremely noisy and we heard every footstep or tap opening from above. The older lady at the front desk was hostile and prejudiced, and we did not feel welcome, which is a shame as we are loyal IHG customers and frequent Wenatchee.

This used to be our favorite place to stay in Wenatchee until the management changed. The new manager’s name is, “Tiffany“ and she is an abusive disrespectful misandrist who takes advantage of her power. I’m a disabled veteran and travel with my daughter. I am always polite and respectful to everyone everywhere I am because I am uncomfortable in social situations and do not do confrontations very well. To avoid negative confrontations I am always polite and give out compliments to everyone and set an example of chivalry to my daughter. The manager Miss Tiffany called me as I was driving home after our last visit and told me that I had made one of the staff members uncomfortable with a comment. At a manager‘s reception, one of the staff members made a dish that was, “OK“ but it was clear that she was soliciting appreciation for her efforts so I was very polite and requested seconds. The woman seem to glow at my appreciation so I walked over to her and glanced at her hand and walked back and sat down and ate with my daughter. The woman came over and asked me why I had looked at her hand, note I did not even touch her. I smiled and told her that I was looking to see if she was “ married“. And then chuckled. This apparently made her feel uncomfortable, though I don’t see how. It was just a compliment. My daughter even thought it was polite. Anyway, I left a review about it and a year has passed. My daughter wanted to visit Wenatchee again and this hotel had always been our getaway. I called to see if management had changed and the front desk person sounded nervous. She said that the manager could call me if I like, so I agreed, politely and appreciated her for her kindness. Tiffany called me back, but I did not remember. She was the person who had been so rude disrespectful and unkind. I explained the situation and hoped that if she was the manager that we could mend fences. Tiffany became immediately stern and tense over the phone. She Told me that she remembered the entire incident and replayed it back to me. She said that I was “allowed” to stay at the hotel, but that she told me she “did not want me to stay there”. Because my honest review made her feel uncomfortable. I asked her if she was aware that she was in the hospitality business and she erupted over the phone with unbridled meanness! I felt horrible and sick to my stomach. I told her that the conversation was being recorded and she told me that I was not allowed to do that. I told her that I was calling to try to work things out and asked her if she was willing to be solution oriented. She told me she had nothing else to say and hung up on me. This is how the Holiday Inn express manager “Tiffany” in Wenatchee treats, disabled veterans who are just looking for a nice place to stay with friendly people. Tiffany is a horrible person and should not be in any position in customer service, much less be a manager over any other human being. She abuses her power, and when she feels, she is not in the public eye the truth of her misandry comes out in a very abusive and ugly way. I feel sorry for the people who have to work for her. Hopefully IHG hotels will find a position that is more suitable for her where she is not interacting with the general public or responsible for other people. I do hope that she gets professional psychological help for her issues and does not disrespect or abuse anyone else. Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are much better hotels in the Wenatchee area that have staff that are polite and kind.
