Hampton Inn Winfield/Teays Valley

Creaky bed , front door sticks , refrigerator door leans have slam it shut, what could be said about your sleep lol , can you sleep with a loud refrigerator and a noisy broken box spring,,, we didn’t get any sleep but were told the rooms normally run 329,,, but for you 123 lol because you look the part,,,,would you pay that ? Satisfaction guarantee is not what it really means ,,,,ask the manager if something goes wrong or many things go wrong lol,,,,,don’t expect more than excuses since others cancel frequently,,,,don’t get caught or should I say stuck on a creaky bouncy bed,,,it’s not a trampoline. lol or is it?

Ok for just an overnight stay coming in late at night from a long drive. Right off the highway with lots of amenities around it. Felt safe in the area. However...Room HVAC was loud with a lot of clicking. Fitted sheet came undone on both sides of the bed. Room wasn't very clean. Sheets were stained red at the top. Room had an odd odor and smelled like breakfast (not a yummy smell) in the morning. Did not make for a restful night.

This hotel is far beyond “tired and dated” — it’s genuinely run-down. The condition of the property is disappointing, especially the carpets in the bedrooms, which are dirty and give the rooms an unkempt feel. Housekeeping “sloppy”Everything about the building suggests long neglect and a real need for renovation. And yet, the people who work here are exceptional. The service is warm, attentive, The breakfast buffet is generousand thoughtfully presented. It truly makes me wonder what this team could accomplish if they had a property that matched their willingness to please.
