Edgewater Inn & Cottages

Husband and I are already looking forward to our next visit here, and seeing what Fritz has accomplished. From early morning coffee at the picnic table watching the ducks and geese paddle by to fishing--relaxing. Husband still looking forward to catching a decent size fish, preferably a musky. He has caught dinner, though.

Fritz has created the total cozy Northwoods nostalgic throwback at the Edgewater! I was hoping for a Northwoods experience from the good ole days to share with my friend visiting Wisconsin for the first time, and Fritz was the perfect host with the most! He has thought of all the little touches that are lost in the corporate hotel stays; for example, coffee made just for the motel by the local coffee roaster! This is what a "resort" really was; a place that feels like a cross between the BnB back before it was "Air" and the place you go to get an actual canoe for the lake "in the back." It was a happy accident we found Fritz and the Edgewater and we were so delighted to have found him and his motel!

Spent two nights at this cute little resort. The rooms were clean and very well appointed . A real treat to have Eagle River coffee supplied. Fritz is the main man at the front desk as well as master of all deeds. He supplied all the information we needed to make our stay pleasant. We were in a newly remodel room that was darling. The outdoor area is well equipped, and a nice view of the river. I highly recommend.
