The Lodge at Geneva Ridge

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing from the moment we arrived. When we checked in, we were told our room was not ready, which was understandable, so we spent some time by the pool while waiting. About an hour later, I received a text message stating that our room was ready. However, when we returned to the front desk, we were informed that the room was actually not ready. After waiting again, we were finally given a room. Upon entering, it was obvious the room was not properly prepared for guests. It was missing furniture, luggage racks, including the dresser that should have been under the TV, leaving us with nowhere to store our belongings other than the floor. There were random pieces of furniture in the room, but no chairs. The fridge looked like it belonged in a college dorm and didn't fit properly under the coffee bar. To make matters worse, the toilet paper roll in the bathroom was soaking wet, as if it had been dropped in the toilet and simply put back on the holder. We reported these issues to the front desk, and they moved us to a different room that was properly furnished. Unfortunately, the problems continued. Around 2:30 a.m., groups of young kids were running through the halls and having a loud party, screaming for nearly an hour, making it difficult to sleep. On the morning of our departure, despite checkout not being until 11:00 a.m., housekeeping attempted to enter our room twice before we had checked out. Overall, the lack of communication, poor room preparation, late-night noise, and repeated interruptions made for a very frustrating experience. I would not stay here again and hope management addresses these issues.

It’s a hotel and it was okay, photos always make it look better. Room was basic (newly renovated) so was hotel, decent outside pool bar and patio area. The Lodge hotel part said lake side view but is so far from the lake (all in the wording). Just okay. Price was fair for what it was. Would I stay again? Eh id try somewhere else next time.

We booked a two-night stay for Thanksgiving. When a winter storm warning for 8-10 inches of snow was posted, we decided to play it safe and cut our time short, calling on the morning of the day. They were more than understanding and accommodating and made sure that our safety was their priority. It was a wonderful experience, and we will return!
