Timber Ridge Lodge and Waterpark

Fantastic Stay, Manager Jeremy is one of the best managers we have encountered there. He always greeted us and made us feel welcome as if we were visiting his home. We remembered him from the golf course years ago. Great, genuine guy!!! Keep up the good work Jeremy 👏

Check-in was the biggest frustration of our stay and unfortunately set the tone for the visit. Although the staff were friendly, the line stretched out the door and moved very slowly. We arrived before the official check-in time and were told to return later with our IDs to pick up room cards. After receiving a text that our room was ready, we came back expecting a smoother process, only to find the line still unreasonably long. We left again and ultimately returned a third time, waiting through the same lengthy queue before finally gaining access to our room. Once we were finally settled, the room itself was disappointing. There were crumbs in the carpet and on the couch, and the unit showed significant wear throughout. Broken, sharp fireplace tile, dents in appliances, and numerous scratches and damaged walls made the accommodations feel poorly maintained. One important note for future guests: although the room is advertised as having a kitchen, there are no pots or pans provided, so it is not actually possible to cook unless you bring your own. We ended up eating out despite having a fridge available. The location near Lake Geneva is convenient, with plenty to do in the surrounding area, and the pricing felt reasonable when factoring in water park access. That said, the overall condition of the lodging and the check-in experience did impact our impression of the stay. The water park, however, was the clear highlight. It was crowded, but offered a great variety of attractions for children, the water was pleasantly warm, and the staff remained friendly throughout. It was the one part of the trip that felt well-run and enjoyable. Overall, if you come expecting a polished, well-maintained resort, you’ll likely be disappointed. We were not expecting these issues, and it started our trip on a very negative note. After already spending so much time waiting in the check-in queue multiple times, we did not want to further delay our stay by going back to the front desk to address the room issues. Instead, we chose to make the best of the situation and continue with our trip. However, if you set your expectations for long waits and noticeable cosmetic wear, the water park itself still offers enough to make a family staycation enjoyable.

I’ve been here multiple times… Rooms were nice looking. Even though our had a smell upon arrival. I paid $690 on top of having to pay additional fees upon arrival for a single night. The checkin process was quick but the agent at the desk didn’t give me any information on what was going on around the place. (Many people that we talked to said the same thing) the pool never had towels and the person at the pool seemed to be over stimulated and upset whenever families asked for one. Seems like once they have your money they don’t care about their guest afterwards. Overall this visit deserves a 2/5 stars.
