Fairfield Inn by Marriott Oshkosh

Booked this for the gym. See photo on trip advisor ? That’s not true. It’s a storage room. It’s a mess. And each staircase is storage at the bottom. And once you enter, all you smell is cigarette smoke.

One of the worst experiences ever, and I travel a lot. The floors in the halls are dirty. When we got in the room the AC was on and set to 64 degrees (outside it was 36). There are no luggage racks in the room. No hand lotion. There was a spider on the wall. The internet access (trying to watch Netflix) s SO SLOW that we had probably 15 times waiting for buffering while watching a 2 hour movie. We could not get our Roku to work on this TV, and we hook it up successfully everywhere else we go. The Exercise room is unavailable, which we intended to use since we’re staying 4 nights. The pool is in a cold room, and the water is cold. It was taken over by Wyndham, reservation made to Fairfield, so were confused about whether we had the right place.

We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice. The mattress was okay, on the semi-firm side and we prefer medium firm. Breakfast was included and the items were well stocked. They have waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuit with gravy, cereals and yogurts. The indoor pool and exercise room were clean and had clean towels to use. We were sad that they no longer have the hot tub and tiled the area. There is plenty of parking, easy access off the highway, close to shops & restaurant, and the EAA Museum. Price is very reasonable and we recommend staying here.
