I chose the Best Western Plus Frontier Inn based on previous reviews, so maybe I was expecting too much, but overall was not impressed: Location: Not great. Although it is conveniently located about a block off I-80, there is seriously nothing around it when it comes for food choices. That is, unless you want a sandwich from Subway at the Maverik truck stop next door. Your only other choices for meals are getting back on the highway and going east a couple of miles to Sapp Brothers where there is a steakhouse and an Apple Barrel restaurant, ... or go a couple of miles west for a bunch of fast-food choices. BTW, I chose going to the Apple Barrel, which turned out to be closed at 5pm even though the posted hours said they were open until 7pm. Check-in: Not friendly nor unfriendly. Just kind of low key without much of a personality. Functional is the best way to describe it. Room: Clean & comfortable. Nice easy chair. Minifridge & microwave. Bathroom was clean as well. Only complaint I had was when I walked into the room it was F R E E Z I N G!!! Someone has set the AC to 60 degrees. Easy fix to change it up to 72 to be more comfortable. Breakfast. Disappointing. It was standard free hot breakfast faire, so wasn't expecting anything special, but the hot food (eggs, potatoes, bacon) was cold while the OJ was warm. Mind you, I went down just before 7am, so it's not like I showed up right before breakfast was over. When you add the bacon was about one level above bacon bits and rather tasteless, I didn't eat very much. Ended up getting fast-food down the road. Overall, I don't see staying here again in my future

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this hotel as much as I'd have hoped. I was checked in by a lady with pink hair (sorry I did not catch her name), she left me standing at the desk and ignored me when I first walked in. After a minute or so she simply said "reservation?", she was very cold and, over a full two week road trip in the US and two other lengthy road trips in previous years, she has been the least friendly member of check in staff I have ever come across. Thankfully, the blonde lady upon checkout was absolutely lovely and a credit to the hotel. In terms of the room, when we entered it really did not smell nice whether this was from something being put in the microwave or just a musty smell in the room, it was not good and we were only very thankful that the windows could be opened to air the room out. Breakfast was good and the 24/7 coffee in the lobby although I did not like that there are no longer coffee machines in each individual room. After a long drive, you just want to sit back and enjoy a coffee and it is not the best to have to go up and down to the lobby, especially when there is only one (very slow) lift and we were placed in a room as far away from the lift as possible.

This an excellent hotel. Very clean great breakfast great staff. All you need for a restful night stay. We travel once a year to the parks and will certainly stop here again. Also just 2 miles down the road is Pour Decisions. A great place to eat with delicious prime rib at a great price
