Comfort Inn Evanston

My wife and I stayed at this ran down hotel over Labor day 2026. The reason for 1 star is exactly that, this hotel is very poor quality. First and foremost, I put the do not disturb placard on the door both the maid service and Hotel desk clerk entered my room. This is totally 100% unacceptable. Then the dinning room was filthy dirty, ZERO Coffee the maker was broken down. Then top it all off the pool was also broken down. Last but far from least the toilet in the room ran water all night long and wasn't bolted down, my wife almost fell into the bathtub. Management will not reply to emails or phone calls trying to come up with a solution.

We stay here about once a year when visiting friends in Evergreen. We love dogs but my wife developed allergies to pet hair several years ago. The fact they restrict pets to the first floor is GREAT. The hotel is very clean but overpriced due to no nearby competition. The breakfast selection is blah at best with the fake scrambled eggs. The $13.00 resort fee added (and shown at time of booking) is ridiculous. Smelly indoor pool and a 10’ x 6’ fitness center. This is a scam.

This was a really incredible stay, I stayed here this month on a business trip. The rooms were clean, the staff were pleasant and very eager to help. In addition the breakfast was great and incredibly clean as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone driving in the area.
