The historical part and location is the only reason to stay here. I will not stay here again. We thought for the price, it would be at least decent to stay there. I wasn't looking for top tier accommodations, but for over $500 a night, I would expect a lot more than this. The dining room service was poor at best. The staff are nice, they just have no leadership in my opinion. There were times we had empty water glasses and coffee, and the staff were talking by the register, or no where to be seen.
In this day and age, not having WiFi or internet is ridiculous. People rely on this to check on home security, work emergencies, and other things. There was WiFi at the Snow Lodge, but not at the Old Faithful Inn and absolutely no cell service at all. I know the website say no internet or wifi, but they have it for employees and staff, and at the hotel that is located very close, so why not at their flagship hotel. Not having a ceiling fan in the guest rooms is also a pretty poor situation. The room was miserable as for temperature in August. I would never recommend someone to stay here again.
