We booked directly through the hotel’s website and were assisted by Piroska, who was fantastic from the very beginning. She was responsive, professional, and made the reservation process effortless. We stayed at Sofitel Montevideo in July 2026, and from the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. Every interaction with the staff reflected the high standards of hospitality that make this hotel so special. A very special thank you goes to Gonzalo, who was simply exceptional. He was always available, incredibly helpful, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during our stay. His kindness, attention to detail, and genuine desire to help made a lasting impression on us. He truly turned a great stay into an unforgettable one. We would also like to recognize Santiago, who was equally kind, attentive, and supportive throughout our visit. It is wonderful to encounter people who genuinely care about their guests and take pride in what they do. As for the hotel itself, we loved absolutely everything: the beautiful historic building, the perfect location in Carrasco, the elegant and comfortable room, the outstanding breakfast, and the exceptional level of service across the board. My experience in Montevideo was very positive. The historic building is excellently preserved and has very attractive architecture, achieving a good balance between classic design and the modern amenities one expects from a hotel of this level. The breakfast is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the stay. It offers a wide variety of fresh options, excellent quality baked goods, and attentive service in the lounge, making it totally worth including. The room turned out to be very spacious, comfortable, and clean, maintaining period details that add a lot of personality. For its part, the staff was very professional, correct, and friendly at all times, providing efficient yet approachable service.

Well located hotel, iconic construction and excellent breakfast. Cleaning of the rooms leaves to be desired. Dirty cabinets. On one of the days there was no bath towel, something unacceptable for a 5-star hotel
