MARRIOTT HOTEL PLAYA GRANDE

It is a shame to see on the news the state in which this beautiful hotel was left, I do not know if they will reopen it or if it will be demolished, in any case the years it operated it was very good.

I visited with high expectations; however, I found an excellent hotel with very good service at the reception, restaurants, and rooms, with friendly, helpful, and receptive people who were always attentive. The rooms were clean; I did not smell any dampness in any area, with a partial view of the sea, very nice. Restaurants and food were very good; on one occasion, we returned a soup because it was cold and lacked flavor, and the person who attended us on the terrace was concerned and took it to the area where it was prepared, bringing us another in excellent condition. I would recommend lowering the prices; they are high for several meals and drinks. The pool has beautiful views at sunset, is clean and well presented, with excellent service; the downside is that some buildings around are very deteriorated, which detracts from the area. I visited the gym, which was also very well maintained, with the machines in very good condition. I believe that the appreciation of the hotel is above "very good"; it is a fabulous hotel, Venezuela is not Switzerland. Thank you for allowing us an excellent weekend.

I stayed with the family, the carpet in the halls smelled damp. The New Year's Eve party was in a hall that looked like the '80s.
