Con Dao Sea Cabanas

The location is nice and the photos online might look cute but don’t be fooled. This place is gross. The roof of our bathroom was an old plastic tarp and the room smelled like mold and was filled with bugs. The beds are old and lumpy. To top if off the staff we interacted with, a young man, was not helpful or friendly. I’ve stayed in plenty of junky hotels to save money but this place is not even that cheap compared to other locations on the island that are also much nicer!

Great accommodation on the beach. The beach side houses are great with amazing view to the beach always some breeze and sound of the waves. There is a terrace with some food and drinks, but it is located just next to some seafood restaurants and about 10 minutes walk from the market. I prolonged my stay for a day and have to move to a garden view villa, which makes a big difference, so try to get the one looking t the beach, even if its a bit more expensive!

The camping is just in front of the beach, that's right but it would be so much better if they took time to CLEAN a little bit the said beach. It is full of plactics bottles and other kind of garbage which make it very unpleasant. The staff is not really friendly, maybe because they don’t speak a good English I don’t know but sometimes it really felt like they were somehow making fun of us. The breakfast is not included and is really expensive. You can only have coffee in the morning, after 1pm they only sell sodas and cold drinks ... The bungalows are cute except the bathroom that has an open plastic ceiling which makes it really hot and annoying because mosquitos can enter in your room at night !!!! It is a real pity because this place has lot of potential.
