My Family’s worst experience in almost 15 years of traveling abroad and domestically is at this Malibu Resort Nessie. One Bungalow is 3-4-star resort-friendly, but actually quality rooms dating back to 1900...then. Too old, dirty, rustic, and moody even though the availability was asked carefully at booking. When I requested a change, NV initially asked me to give 100% of my money back if I didn’t like it (??? Yeah, does that have to be the same as kicking out guests? 100% is still your guest money, where is the resort responsible?? Then insist the next day it’s booked, and when I do it, I call back and agree to redeem the next building. The building area is nicer, but the soundproof is poor so it’s very noisy and the WC is not airy. The common areas aren’t green either, and the irrigation water floats through the hallway, so the hallways and inner streets are always wet and smooth. The restaurant had breakfast, it was exhausted, too dirty, looking into the kitchen and thinking it was a neighboring food shop. The ultimate plate. Eat a morning buffet and vote like a vintage rice bill. Take a look at the shots I took and imagine how rustic + old it is. Roast steamed buffet + dirt to eat. Worth 1 star. Worse than braille
Our family’s most disappointing travel experience in almost 15 years of traveling both domestically and internationally occurred at Malibu Resort Mui Ne.
Despite being advertised and priced of a Bungalow as a 3-4 stars resort, the actual room condition was far below expectations. The room appeared significantly outdated, with visible signs of aging, humidity, rust, and lack of proper maintenance. This was especially disappointing as we had carefully confirmed the room condition prior to making the booking.
When we requested a room change, we were initially informed that no alternative rooms were available. Only after further discussion was an arrangement made to move us to a newer building. While the replacement room was in better condition, sound insulation was poor, resulting in considerable noise disturbance, and the bathroom lacked adequate ventilation.
The resort’s common areas also did not reflect the standards typically associated with a property of this category. Walkways and corridors were frequently wet due to watering activities, creating inconvenience and potential safety concerns for guests.
The breakfast experience was unfortunately another major concern. Cleanliness standards in both the dining and visible kitchen areas were noticeably below expectation. Tableware did not appear properly kept, and overall hygiene conditions significantly affected our dining experience. Additionally, operational procedures such as distributing meal tickets felt inconsistent with the level of service expected from a resort of this rating.
We have attached photos to accurately reflect our experience and the actual condition during our stay.
We hope the management will take this feedback seriously and implement meaningful improvements so that future guests receive an experience more aligned with the resort’s advertised standards.

Before going to this hotel, we studied the reviews of it, trying to focus on the positive reviews and taking into account our preferences, namely - we went for a private and quiet holiday, but at the outset I want to say that a quiet and measured holiday we rarely succeeded because this hotel is a "weekend" hotel for locals and almost every day we witnessed noisy celebrations. It's not very nice when you're lying on a sun lounger sunbathing in a swimsuit and there's bus rides for local Vietnamese who, after eating, walk around you on all sides in a huge crowd of people in their fifties and stare, because they don't sunbathe or bathe themselves - it doesn't feel very cozy. I immediately in my review want to note it, because I read about it, but did not take it into account, but should have, because it was a big downside for us, and otherwise everything is great!!!
HONEY. My husband and I were on vacation in the first days of July. The transfer from Cam Ranh Airport was long (5 hours - 250 km), but we used this as an additional excursion, admiring the new views of the exotic country. Currency we always change at the airport (there is the best rate, and at the hotel - always less).
ACCOMMODATION. Set up quickly in 2 story Bungalow 308 on the ground floor. It's very good that on the first one, because the room comes with a terrace with two deck chairs and an outdoor table (on the second one - it's not), so we enjoyed relaxing on these deck chairs among the greens and flowers, drinking tea and coffee, but by the way, our enjoyment was interrupted by the insistent moshkar, which is full in Vietnam and we constantly sprayed ourselves with repellent, but we weren't upset about it because we were already set on it. We were given a password to the WI-FI, which had a high sustained signal in the room and throughout the hotel.
NUMBER. We really liked our room - spacious with new natural wood furniture with relatively new plumbing. The room has: air conditioning, TV, refrigerator with minibar (we refused right away because it is expensive), original shower cubicle (glass), hairdryer, every day brought soap, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes with paste, combs, machine with gel for and after shaving, spacious double bed, and I want to mention in particular: the mattress is absolutely gorgeous, my husband and I have never slept on such, we enjoyed sleep and had a very good rest and sleep on it - it is an expensive orthopaedic mattress with filler made of what seems to be a coconut chip hardness, further - teapot (without boiling), custard, tea set; water bottled, tea, coffee, sugar were brought every day. Cleaned well every day. By the way, the water we were getting was certainly not enough for the day, and we found a cafe where we constantly bought it in 1.5 liter bottles - this cafe is located: you have to cross the road and go left to the turn, that's where this cafe is located.
HOTEL TERRITORY - just fabulous! All in greenery, beautiful marvelous plants, very well cleaned, everywhere there are winding paths of tiles. Big clean pool, but we are not amateurs swimming in it, because we love the sea more!
BEACH. SEA. The beach is great, morning and afternoon practically deserted, but in the evening it is filled with locals who very much like to organize fun competitions and contests here, swimming Vietnamese exclusively in clothes, afraid of sunbathing. Since there were only three Russians besides us, the Vietnamese always looked at us with surprise, watching us sunbathe in swimsuits. The sand is soft fine, and because having read about the fact that there can be fleas in the sand, we naturally did not lie on it (although we very much like to sunbathe, lying on the sand), but only on deckchairs, for fear of flea bites. So no one bit us. The sea was comfortable in temperature, slightly cool, almost always with waves, but we bathed all the time, dived and even swam along the shore, i.e. the waves allowed. We were a little unlucky with the jellyfish. First time meeting jellyfish here. There were few jellyfish, but they were large and scorched, throwing forward long threads like line. Sometimes the body was scarred from their burns and it certainly wasn't very pleasant to go into the water and expect a jellyfish to be after you. There were plenty of sunbeds, especially we liked the sunbathing alley near the beach under the palm trees, we didn't sunbathe by the pool. By the way, they give out beach towels for free every day at reception.
FOOD. We only had breakfast (buffet). We enjoyed the meals - varied, delicious, full, eaten until dinner, which we had in the cafe across the street, and at lunch we drank tea, coffee and sweets and ate fruit.
TOURS. Tours we took from the inviting party - we feel more comfortable
1. Review. Cham Towers, a snake farm, a natural pearl shop where I bought pearls, a natural cosmetics shop where we bought crocodile oil therapeutic ointment, a Vietnamese tea house where we bought tea and coffee and visited the beautiful medieval style Wine Castle with wine tasting, and dined in a restaurant.
2. Excursion to Saigon (by bus). 210 km. We had a day trip to visit the Kuchi guerrilla tunnels. We really liked Saigon.
Overall we enjoyed the holiday and the hotel too except for one single downside, which I described at the very beginning of my review.
WEATHER. Since we were not going in "season", then naturally we expected the promised torrential rains and even brought raincoats, but the weather was wonderful and - no rain!!!! There was only one 5-minute rain, but that doesn't count. That's what an "unseason" he is!!!!!
