Location : The "resort" is situation far away from everything. There are no shops or resturants or things around the resort. It is very secluded and difficult to find. 1) We booked a car from the travel agent to send us from the hotel to the ariport. The driver could not find the hotel and ended up 90 minutes late. The reception was less than helpful and did not help us contact the travel agency. Luckily we have our handphones and called the travel agent on our own. 2) We managed to catch a taxi which happen to be in the area as there were some guests arriving. The taxi ride is 30% less than what the resort is charging for sending us downtown. There are tons of resorts / hotels downtown. We booked a tour with Sin Cafe downtown and arrange for Sin Cafe to pick us up the next day for the tour - saving the money from having to go downtown on our own. Room - When we first enter the room, it looks great... but then, upon closer inspection, there were tons of bugs! mosquitoes, ants, roaches and spiders were hiding in all corners of the room. By the 2nd night, I discover that there were a rat in the room. Needless to say, I was looking forward to check-out by then. Service staff - Everything in the resort is about MONEY. Any advice given to us involve us having to use the hotel's facilities. E.g. if we ask when we can go for food, we were told to eat in the resort. Especially with the hotel manager. There were one occassion where the service staff offer to help us negotiate with a public taxi. Immediately, the hotel manager came over, scolded the service staff and told us to use the hotel car service. Private Beach - this is a total joke. the beach is so dirty that it is not likely you will use it. there are loads of debris. if you must use the beach, wear slippers as we spotted a couple of broken glass bottles. Stay away from this hell.

After staying at Mui Ne Beach around Christmas time we decided to check out another beach in the area. A travel agent suggested this resort and when I looked on the website it looked beautiful! See: [-] Unfortunately we couldn't find a single review which we thought was kind of weird. Well, this is why I am writing this review so at least others know what to expect. The area is about 45 min drive south of Phan Thiet by taxi. On the way you see hundred of half competed seemingly deserted resorts and nothing much more. When we got there we were shocked & dissappointed as the resort in the photos does not resemble this resort in reality, not even close! It looks neglected and appears that there hasn't been any upkeep or maintenence since it opened a few years ago. The beach was a disaster with garbage all over the place, (see photos attached). The beach front bungalows are actaully across the street and up a steep walkway above the road and far from the beach. The vegetation around the bungalows is overgrown and unkempt. The vegetation looks like it hasn't been cut back since it's opening. The bungalows look faded and run down. Within about 3 minutes of leaving a cookie wrapper in the garbage can the resident rat boldly entered from the ceiling looking for food. He came down twice in a few minutes! When we called the front desk about the rat they offered to move us to another bungalow but when questioned they admitted there had been recent a rat sighted in that bungalow as well! The staff tried to reassure us that the rats were only after food and wouldn't bite us & they weren't even surprized about it! When talking to the staff in the lobby post rat incident two girls asked asked for their jacuzzi to be turned on and were told it would be an extra $US 9.00 charge for each use. The jacuzzis looked dirty and stained with leaves etc all over the area so they didn't seem very appealing anyway! So much for the spa experience... This place is a disaster! They were charging $90.00 a night for a "deluxe bungalow" which was anything but deluxe. Needless to say we called the travel agent who agreed to refund all of our money after we told her of our experience & emailed some of the pictures. We took off the next morning and would never even consider returning to that area and particularly to that so called resort. The only good thing that happened is that the agent gave us a full refund.
