Naman Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort. The beach is absolutely stunning, the many swimming pools fantastic, and overall the setting is hard to fault. The service team were also excellent. The WhatsApp service and dedicated concierge worked really well, and whenever we had an issue or request, it was dealt with quickly and professionally. Food including breakfast was exceptional. We also enjoyed room service and the B lounge, and the mexican as well as the bbq buffet all were very good. Pool happy hour cocktails also great and the massages were incredible! Absolutely amazing work at the spa. That said, for the price point, there were a few areas where we felt the experience was lacking just a small amount of the finesse we would expect from a five-star resort. It is almost there. Our villa was beautiful and one of the reasons we chose it was because it included a kitchen. It wasn’t clear when booking that the kitchen couldn’t actually be used. We had no intention of cooking meals, but with children, it would have been really useful to have some basic plates, bowls, cutlery and knives for simple things like a bowl of chips or cereal for early risers. It felt like a missed opportunity, particularly given that the villa is marketed as having a kitchen. The villa layout also presented a challenge for families with young children. Although it is described as one villa, the bedrooms are actually separate and not interconnected. With young children, we didn’t feel comfortable having them sleep in a separate room, particularly as there was an unsecured swimming pool downstairs. In the end, my husband and I had to sleep separately with the children. The individual bedrooms do lock, but the lack of internal connection makes the setup less practical for families. It is a real shame because the villas themselves are beautiful. Housekeeping was another small point. Turn-down service was inconsistent and on several nights didn’t happen unless we specifically requested it. Again, not a major issue, but something we would expect to be more consistent at this level. Check-in was also a little unusual. We were asked to provide a very large deposit if we wanted to charge things to the room, otherwise we had to pay for everything as we went. It wasn’t clear why a credit card couldn’t simply be kept on file, as is common at many other resorts, and having to make separate payments throughout the stay became a little inconvenient, including for small purchases at the kids’ club. We also had one slightly concerning experience at the kids’ club. It was advertised as being open until 7pm, but when we returned one evening, the staff member we had left the children with had changed. There was a young man supervising them who, according to the kids, was perfectly pleasant and didn’t bother them at all, but he was not wearing a uniform or name tag while the children were completely fine (the 9 yo reported he had just sat on the couch), it didn’t feel like the level of professional supervision we would expect from a five-star kids’ club. The mexican restaurant had amazing food - the lights were just a little bright and killing the vibe!! Overall, this is a beautiful resort in an incredible location, with genuinely excellent service and a fantastic team. Most of the issues we experienced were relatively small, but at this price point, the little details matter. With a little more consistency and attention to the family-specific aspects of the villa experience, it could be exceptional.

We had a wonderful time at my brother's wedding hosted in Naman Retreat. The resort is beautiful and spacious, the rooms are great, there is a very peaceful setting with no noise and beautiful location next to the water. But I believe the best part is customer attention. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive, but I would like to highlight Katie who was our host for our whole stay. She was incredibly kind and always super helpful, especially considering we had to switch rooms for the wedding and that we ran into a few issues which were our fault. We had a lost personal object which she helped find, made our room transition very pleasant, and made sure we always had everything we needed to have a great stay. Thanks for the great experience and thank you Katie for being a crucial part of this amazing stay!!

After staying at a hotel in Hoi An for two nights, I stayed at Namam Retreat for two nights. The lobby for check-in is quiet and has a nice atmosphere, without being crowded with guests. I received a welcome drink and checked in. The lobby restroom is very clean too. There are no staff who can speak Japanese. Respond in English. I was grateful that they contacted me on LINE to ask if I had any problems or if I was comfortable during my stay at the hotel. This time, I'm staying in an apartment building. Each of the two bedrooms had a shower room, sink, and toilet. Since it was a room with an ocean view, I was moved to see the sunrise from the living room's balcony. I was able to spend time relaxing like I was at home. The high-end restaurant for breakfast had a lot of menu options, and I was very satisfied. The resort felt full of resort vibes, with a view of the ocean from the restaurant window over the infinity pool. There were few Japanese people; wealthy individuals from Korea, China, and Western countries were staying. It was convenient because check-out was done at the apartment building's front desk. It was two comfortable days. I want to use it for my next trip to Da Nang as well.
