Trung Duong Da Nang Beach Hotel

If you want a cheap hotel near the beach in Da Nang then this is it. But don't expect any kind of service or even basics like hot water. The beds are hard and the rooms are small, no breakfast or even hot water to use to cook the noodles in the mini bar. But having said that, It is a 5 minute walk to the beach and there is very tasty street food right next door, go for the Thailand Hot Pot. The room is cleaned and serviced every day, so for the price you can't complain given the location.

We were 6 people with 3 double rooms, our room was on level 5 with sea view, really big room with 2 double beds... the other two were smallish but still fine without a sea view. We booked through a travel agent for 6 nights and had to pay in additional lump sum to have breakfast included. The people are really nice (especially the mom, we gathered that it is a family owned hotel), their English is extremely limited but it was ok. The breakfast was (so sorry to say) but really quite terrible, so we were a bit upset that we had to pay extra money but never ate breakfast except for the first day, also you have to book the night before - and most of the time we got in the hotel too late & not able to book breakfast. Hotel is close to the beach which was nice, we love the beach parties and music you could Cleary hear at night - but don't think this would be a great option if you are there to relax. There is a spa literally around the corner that was super super cheap and sooooooo nice! The hotel has discount voucher at the front desk. Oh last thing, the breakfast/kitchen/bar/cafe is on the roof with a stunning view of the whole City - although there is actually no bar no café, we took our own drink to the roof and had our own mini party there some night before going out, and that was super fun.

For the previous 2 years we stayed at this hotel and was very pleased with the experience but not this time. We arrived to find that the ownership had changed and was not friendly at all. We could have dealt with it but when we tried to take a shower the water was cold, no hot water. My wife asked the desk about the water but we were told that it was warm enough.. After having to go see the front desk they finally turned on the hot water an hour later so we could shower that night but the next morning it was apparently turned off so there was no hot water again. Needless to say we were really disappointed to the point to where we checked out a day early even though we had prepaid. We won't go back there again and it's a shame.
