Botanic Garden Homestay

I had to find a homestay, until my house renal was vacated. They gave me a large room at a great price, also an extra table to set up my 'online' office. I chose not to have breakfast, as I have my normal morning coffee breakfast with friends elsewhere. But Breakfast did look good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would like to mention, that I had an extensive collection of expensive computer components, plus desktop and laptops and a complete office setup. The lovely cleaning lady was so careful not to move anything on my desk, or touch any of the PC equipment. Fast and efficient. Laundry service is the fastest I've ever seen. I only drink water, so they made sure I had plenty, everyday. A very pleasant experience I had there. Would highly recommend. It's very close to Circle burger bar(which is always a great burger and cold beer)

Would you recommend Botanic Garden Villas to a friend? The answer to this question is NO NEVER. I booked four rooms through Agoda with full payment in advance for one night. On the check-in day on 25 Aug 2018, I was attended by a Receptionist. I did not ask her name but she looks a bit big. She welcomed me and my family with an unpleasant atttitude. After a while checking, the keys were issued without any smiles and eyes contact. With an impolite attitude, she requested me to park the car outside the hotel which seems to be very strange to me. No hotel orientation was provided. We had to find out by ourselves where our rooms are and where to have breakfast, etc. Finally we managed to find the rooms and when we came inside the rooms, it was shocked as the rooms were dirty and smelling. The swimming pools are also dirty and half water. I do not understand how the staff are trained but there seems to be no hospitality and customer service in this hotel at all. The staff attitude is unacceptable. Rooms can be small and services can be limited, but they need be be clean. After 30 minutes in the hotel, I ended up by checking out although full payment for four rooms were settled. I will never come back this hotel and will never recommend to my friends

This hotel is situated sort of in between the beach and the old city of Hoi An. Good location as both were easy to reach by bike. The staff is really friendly and there are bikes to borrow, free of charge. There are two pools (could be another one, but I only found two), and some lounging areas with a pool table. The breakfast was sufficient and good. I was invited to a dinner one night together with some other guests. Really nice Vietnamese food. The room was spacious and the bathroom OK apart from the shower that was situated so that after a shower (no shower curtain), the whole bathroom floor was wet, which meant no walking in there for a while unless you wanted the floor of the room to be wet. :-) I had a little balcony where I could dry my swim gear. Hoi An was the best place on my journey in Thailand and Vietnam. Absolutely fantastic place and the old town is so cosy. Will definitely go back some day!
