I was there recently with my family. I agree that the place is a little far out from town (Old Quarters..etc..) but if you want quality sleep, this will be the place. Vietnam is a place where the 'honking' of the cars never stop. The hotel is also very clean. We didn't need to communicate with any of the staff as we were on a packaged tour so we had our tour guide's assistance. So, we got our internet password..etc.. Obviously we didn't have problems with transportation either. Breakfast spread was so-so. Nothing special. Except for breakfast, we had all our meals out of the hotel. All in all, i'd recommend this place for those on tour.. and those looking for a little peace & quiet. If you're one who likes the night life & enjoy walking along the busy streets of Hanoi, then this is not the place for you.

The staff at this hotel are utterly useless. I had laundry service done and they charged a very high price and then did not even iron the clothes. There was no functioning hot water in the rooms, only luke warm. When I asked the staff they looked at me like I had three heads, then simply ignored me. Limited menu in the restaurant and constantly trying to over charge us and add items on to our bill. The had WiFi in the building, when I asked what the password was, the staff replied "no password" When I physically showed them my laptop asking for a password, again "No password"... The only plus was the rooms and the hotel were very cleaning. At least the cleaning staff was competent. the hotel claimed 24 room service, however a college tried to order something and no one would answer the phone. The fitness center was dangerous and unusable and the pool was a large jacuzzi, filthy and hadn't been cleaned in ages. Lastly, the hotel was too far from ANYTHING and when you're in a country with a crap infrastructure, it's nice to be close to something
