Phuc Loi

Booked this hotel thought TRIPADVISOR and when we arrived there after a 20h trip, we found that our hotel was closed. No one neither from TRIPADVISOR nor the hotel informed us before our arrival. Besides that, we spent 150€ in phone calls with TRIPADVISOR in order to get a room for that night. Obviously, the do not enven anwer our mails to get that amonut refounded. I do not recommend TRIPADVISOR at all, they just don´t care about people like us that trusted them.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the rooms, considering it is a budget hotel. Comfy bed, quiet aircon and very clean. The only downside was the really poor TV reception. Breakfast was adequate, although a little limited in choice. All in all a pretty pleasant stay.

We were booked into the Phuc Loi after they agreed to take us agfter our horrendous start at the Bodega. They arranged the room & put another bed in there for us which meant rearranging the entire room including the wardrobe! They even called a girl up to mop the floor under where the bed had moved from. The girls were so much fun laughing & giggling the entire time, we even gave them a huge bunch of flowers we had bought but had no room to put in this hotel, they were so excited over the flowers it was hilarious to watch! Breakfast was supplied & there wasnt much variety but you could order some eggs & things so it was ok, think we had been spoiled at Hue! They were all friendly & opened the front door when we went out & smiled & waved whenever you went through the foyer. Room was always spotlessly clean & towels fresh. The only complaint i had was when we left i had booked airport trsf the day before requesting 7 seater & checked twice more that day & they said yes it would be ok , but the next morning when i checked it hadnt been booked so they did it then. When we were ready to leave we went downstairs & waited for the taxi & when it turned up it was a 4 seater , i did tell them we wouldnt fit with all our bags but they kept trying to shove them in & in the end i told them no we needed the 7 seater we had requested so after much arguing he pulled the bags out & called another taxi. They told me that it would take 10 mins But half an hr later we were still waiting. The girl at reception tried to tell me it was my fault that i should have said 7 seater so i told her in no uncertain terms that that she could blame me as much as she wanted but i had booked & checked 3 times & had specified a 7 seater & that it was the hotels fault not mine. we eventually got a taxi 3/4 hr late so luckily we allowed plenty of time. Otherwise i cant fault the hotel overall, very clean & great staff.
