We were booked into a small room. Unfortunately it was also a bit impractically furnished. Very little closet space, and no room for a suitcase in the room. The breakfast room was small and with very little space between the tables The outdoor cafe was really nice

Located in the french quarter and surrounded by classy hotels and designer shops like Chanel, Hermes etc. Only a few minutes walk to the lake and old quarter. Staff are lovely especially Lisa on reception and Raymond the bellboy who always had some chatter about football. I have to highlight the bathroom which is poor by modern standards. Very dark and floor not cleaned during our 5 days there. You have to step up into the bath for the shower. There's no handrail so it could be tricky for those with limited mobility. It isn't actually a proper shower but a hand shower on a hook and at 5ft 9 I had to bend down to get under it. Anyone taller would have been touching the ceiling. The hotel is dated and in need of an update.

There's good and bad with this hotel. Will start with the good. Location is excellent, in the French quarter and very close to the old quarter with it's shops, cafes and restaurants. Staff very helpful and courteous. Nice bar area with tasteful outside seating. Reasonably priced drinks. Our room was on the 5th floor and overlooked the quiet street passing the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Usual amenities such as safe and mini bar. Patio doors to a small balcony with two chairs and a table. Bathroom was another story, we found it dark with dark brown tiles and woodwork with insufficient lighting. The overbath shower was downright dangerous, you had to climb over the side of the raised bath to start. Not what you would expect and slippy although a rubber mat is provided. Shower is a hand shower, unsuited to the task of an overhead shower. I am five foot eleven and the shower head was at eye height. Uncomfortable to say the least. Breakfast was generally good, the dining area was a bit small and got crowded. Overall this hotel is a bit dated and could do with a refurb and quite expensive due to it's location.
