Hanoi Crystal Hotel

Just stayed while passing through with a friend. Booked a “superior” room but was hugely disappointed. The window with a view just faced into the hallway, the bathroom had black mold, and the room was generally unclean. As we were going to bed, we spotted a cockroach in the bathroom and alerted the front desk who did not seem alarmed or do anything about it. Definitely do not stay here.

This hotel may be very cheap but even still, it doesn't stop the cleaners cleaning properly dust and marks everywhere. Mould in bathroom and bedroom. Ceiling falling down, bad electrics, what looks like dirty gum I presume it is some sort of glue holding shower together, brown stains on tiles bath dirty all this in bathroom. Bedroom furniture cracked and broken, beds are rock hard with lumps mould everywhere and dirty marks up the wall. They upgraded us and it wasnt any better. No matter how cheap shouldn't affect the cleanliness. Salesman In hotel sold us a trip but didnt prepare us for what we needed to take. Only good thing receptionist was ok. Location was brilliant.

The hotel is near the center and the old Town. It is a quiet hotel, it has hot water 24h and also good air conditioning. They clean the room everyday and the change the towerls every second day and it is concider to be a clean room for Vietnamese standards.Strong wifi and average breakfast.
