Trade Hotel

Not a clean hotel. The chair in my room had on it a thin brown streak that looked like sh*t from an occupant who had not worn underwear. The bed sheet had some stains that looked like they had a human origin. Cockroaches scuttled about the room in the evening. Breakfast was free but not worth trying.

The hotel locates at the center of new urban area of Hanoi. Some of famous locations nearby are Diplomatic Corps area of Hanoi, Lotte Center, VTV (Vietnam national TV network) etc. However, it is far from Old Quarter, so that it wouldn't be your favourite if you would like to enjoy walking on Old Quarter's street. The hotel is very old, and is equiped by outdated Chinese things. It looks like a hotel to China 20 years ago. Hence, don't expect too much. Their breakfast is so so with very few choice. By the way, the staffs were very friendly and helpful. The room is outdated but clean enough and quiet. Hence I think it is suitable with businessman for short stay (2-3days).

We were there for a convention. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. THe grounds were beautiful. Our room was city view and had a beautiful view of Ha Noi city. The city is very active with all sorts of grounds sports. It was fun to watch. We had ducks pecking at the door/window for food, they ate from my hand. The room was large, comfortable and clean. I agree with another reviewer about the sheer over the door not being enough privacy at night time. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to enjoy the restaurant on site or the grounds or activities offered. But it looked like a great place for a family vacation or romantic getaway! And of course the hotel is beautiful and offers much to experience.
