Artisan Boutique Hotel

Hotel is in a great location, rooms are really spacious and comfortable. We stayed in a room with balcony which was nice to have in the evenings. On our first night, we woke up in the morning with water on the bathroom floor - turned out that the hose pipe had a small leak. It was reported in the morning, and when we returned at lunchtime to drop off shopping it was already fully replaced and cleared up! Cara and her team were super helpful from the minute we walked in until we left, including ensuring that the Grab we’d booked was definitely ours, and helping us with luggage. I used the laundry service, handing in on the day we checked in around 2pm and I had it back the following morning, all perfect. The staff provide a list of recommended places on arrival, and we used a few of these. The up to date train timetable for train street was particularly helpful! I will definitely use this hotel for my next stay in Hanoi, and next time will use Cara for my trips.. the operator I used was not very communicative causing stress on the day, and it would’ve been much easier to have someone on site to assist. Only other thing to note is that the street is closed off over the weekend to cars/buses given proximity to the lake. Worth considering this if you book a tour elsewhere, as we had to negotiate a pick up point with our external tour operator that we had to walk to, as they hadn’t realised the road would be closed until I told them.
