Blue Hanoi Inn Hotel The airport transfer to the hotel was KKDay, ¥2100 back to ¥1,500, 40 minutes without one-way traffic. Airport taxis are frequent, and Grabs are hard to match, so advance taxi reservations are recommended. Near Hoan Kiem Lake, the surrounding area is bustling with a variety of restaurants and massage parlors, conveniently located to go anywhere, the hotel front is one way and quiet at night. A small hotel with only two rooms per floor. I stayed in a suite, but the view from the 7th floor was good, spacious and clean, with a good bed, a shower with good hydraulic temperature control, and all the amenities, all of which were WIFI crisp and comfortable. The staff were very kind and comfortable. I recommend it.

I was really disappointed to be informed 5 hours before my stay that they had overbooked and my rooms and the booking was cancelled. I had booked 2 rooms, eight months previously based on the very good reviews through booking.com. I had received confirmation and offers of taxis for this hotel. I then had to arrange another hotel 10 minutes before I was getting on the plane to fly to Hanoi which was pretty stressful as I had also arranged taxis too and from the hotel. The new hotel was pretty bad and more expensive, so this really did not give me a good feel about Hanoi hotels. I cannot comment on the Blue Hanoi inn hotel facilities obviously but I think cancelling my booking this late in the day was extremely poor of them.

This is a great hotel for the price, location is really really good, right in the old quarter but more local than the touristy area, which is great. There are some very very good coffee and pho places very close and a really good Aussie breakfast place not far either. Room was great, clean, private bathroom, quiet, highly recommended and would stay again.
