Out there of the three hotels we stayed at within Ha Noi this our least favourite. Firstly the staff at reception were great , Ms Anna and the other two were amazing! We were on the top floor, get out of the lift and then walk up to the 9th floor. The room was small which was fine but we just felt the standard vs the other two hotels was less, it felt like a backpacker convered into a hotel. We had to leave early and breakfast started at 630 but when i asked for a cooked omelette I was told the cook died but stay until 7am. Good central location

We recently stayed with family at splendid star hotel in Hanoi. We had such a great experience we decided to return a second time. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible and even stored our luggage for a week whilst we were travelling elsewhere. We also woke up to a beautiful buffet breakfast every morning, would definitely return.

Please be aware this is not a single building although it doesn't tell you that anywhere. It is a 'group' of properties that is advertised as a hotel. No idea where the rooftop pool was, apparently on the roof of another building and you had to get one of the porters to take you there. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy, basic basic... Room we had was small and certainly not what we were expecting from the descriptions on Booking.com. Room was however functional, clean and acceptable for our 3 night stay. Spa has very little privacy, my wife and I had foot massages with streams of people walking through to get to the lift for their rooms... Overall the staff and Mr Harry we're very nice and the hotel(s) are in a very good location to explore Old Quarter of Hanoi, although you can't get a taxi all the way to it, you'll get dropped of 50m away and need to walk through some alleyways.
